Version 1.1 and earlier
Since Bluetooth technology has been introduced in 1998, some version of the specification has been released. Versions 1.0 and 1.0B have been too many problems and problems for manufacturers to develop devices
for Bluetooth. The main problem is the lack of communication between them.
The core specification version 1.1 is the first successful operating version of Bluetooth. Version 1.1 corrected a majority of the bugs and problems
found in previous versions.
Version 1.2
Various Bluetooth devices more recent, such as new mobile phones sold with a new Bluetooth version 1.2. This version offers backward compatibility with Bluetooth 1.1, faster transmission speed, the strength of the received signal, and a host controller interface (HCI) support for 3 wire UART.

so obvious that Bluetooth does not submit a threat to replace your wireless network.

Bluetooth continues to get better and better,making it a wireless technology that will be aroundand for the years to come.
