I am a Pune based engineer working with Infosys . I received a credit card from HDFC bank about 3 months ago from my office, but till today the credit card has not been activated. I was a user of BSNL post paid connection. Last month I deactivated the number. After a month of deactivating the service, I received the bill of calls and I was shocked to see my bill. I immediately called the customer care service but they even refused to listen to my queries. I gave them my explanations that there is some mistake with the bill as I have not made the calls but all my explanations felt to deaf ears. They were even refusing to accept their mistake. Now, I am in deep fix. I do not know how I will pay the heavy bill. Now, I will have to pay for the calls I have not even made. So , I lodged a consumer complaint regarding the matter and after a few days I got explanation for my problem. Consumers form the half of the economy and organizations neglect the consumer rights. I recently accessed a caller tune on my mobile. Mine is an Airtel connection. The customer care informed me that the caller tune will be activated in 24 hours and Rs 15 will be deducted from my account. However, it’s been 1 week now and my caller tune has not been activated but they have deducted the 15 rupees from my account. I have called the customer care centre and they have informed me that it will be activated soon. But nothing has happened till now. I am now too infuriated with the service of Airtel. I am thinking of filling consumer complaints against their service. They are not careful enough in matters of entertaining their customers. Airtel holds a brand value and should take due care in protecting costumer rights. This approach will taint the image of Airtel.
